Josh Lazarus
Co-Founder
Joshua Lazarus is a Co-Founder at Nexum Applied where he spearheads the strategy, integration, and execution of the company’s global procurement, logistics, subcontract management, and operational excellence initiatives. With over 21 years of executive leadership experience — including more than 18 years in complex program management and supply chain operations — Josh is widely recognized as a transformational leader driving innovation, resilience, and measurable results across enterprise supply chains.

Prior to his role at Nexum Applied, Josh served in the U.S. Navy as a small craft operator. Since then, he has held senior leadership positions at V2X, L3Harris Technologies, and Lockheed Martin. He has led and overseen multiple worldwide programs and operations in general services, special operations, as well as production and manufacturing with portfolios valuing in excess of $4B. As a subject matter expert in program operations and process improvement, Josh has led and overseen endeavors whereby efficiencies and program capabilities have increased by more than 70% through the implementation of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and to include Lean Business Practices. Josh brings deep expertise in Program Finance and Earned Value Management, as well as end-to-end lifecycle program oversight. His leadership has resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars saved through strategic negotiations and a sweeping recompete initiative that aligned his overall vision for success with aggressive affordability targets.

With an MBA from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor’s degree from Lipscomb University, Josh couples’ academic excellence with real-world, mission-critical leadership. He holds several Program Management, Lean, and Supply Chain certificates — underscoring his commitment to operational precision, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.​
Known for his servant leadership philosophy, Josh cultivates a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional growth. He champions cross-functional alignment between Supply Chain, Finance, Project Controls, and Business Development to ensure that operations not only meet strategic objectives but also exceed the goals and objectives set forth. As one of the Co-Founders, Josh continues to redefine what’s possible in global operations while delivering long-term value to Nexum Applied and its customers.
